Creating a MEMO program
Explanation:
A MEMO program can store up to twenty tracks of a CD
in any sequence, e.g. for making a cassette recording.
The MEMO program can only be created for the CD
currently in the machine. It remains stored in the CD
player until either you erase it or the CD drawer is ope-
ned.
Procedure:
When you insert the CD the screen displays the messa-
ge
'STOP'
followed by the total number of tracks on the
CD.
•
Activate MEMO programming.
Hold the
button pressed in for about 1 second
The screen shows:
'PROG'
and a flashing number as an
invitation to enter information.
•
Hold the
or
button pressed in until
the number of the track you wish to select appears on
the screen after
'
PROG
'
.
•
Now store the track in the MEMO program by pres-
sing the
button briefly.
The screen message
'PROG'
flashes once to confirm
that this track has now been accepted as the first track in
the MEMO program. Select all the other tracks you wish
to include in the same way, storing each by pressing the
button briefly.
Note:
The track you wish to select can also be entered directly
using the numeric buttons instead of the
and
buttons. After entering a number you can store
the track in the usual way by pressing the
button
briefly.
When you have stored the 20th track the screen shows
the message
'FULL'
. If you enter a further number, the last
stored track - the previous 20th one - will be overwritten.
When you have stored all the tracks you wish to include
the MEMO programming procedure is ended as follows:
•
End MEMO programming.
Hold the
button pressed in for about 1 second
The screen shows the message:
'STORED'
and shows
all the track numbers of the MEMO program you have
just created in the sequence in which you stored them.
Playing back a MEMO program
The MEMO program can now be played back.
•
Start playback process
/
button
Playback begins with the first track of the MEMO pro-
gram. While the MEMO program is in progress the
screen shows a letter
'P'
in front of the current track
number.
While the MEMO program is running, the
and
buttons select the previous and next tracks
respectively, but only within the MEMO program.
If you use the fast forward or rewind buttons
/
and the process runs into a track outside
the MEMO program, the machine plays the selected
track to the end, then the MEMO program resumes.
Erasing a MEMO program
Pressing the
button briefly in
STOP
mode opens
the CD drawer, and this action erases the MEMO pro-
gram.
A MEMO program can also be erased without opening
the CD drawer:
•
Activate MEMO programming
Hold the
button pressed in for about 1 second
The screen shows the message
'PROG'
and a flashing
number inviting you to enter information.
•
Erase the MEMO program.
Hold the
button pressed in again for about
1 second
The screen now shows the message:
'CLEAR'
The MEMO program is now erased.
