3.) Selecting chapter and track - direct numeric input
It is also possible to select a DVD chapter or CD track by
entering the number of the section using the numeric
buttons (
    . . .     ) on the remote control
handset.
Note:
If the number has more than one digit, press the digits
quickly in sequence.
4.) Selecting chapter and track using the control bar
Another alternative for selecting the CD track or chapter
is the control bar (see
'On-screen control bar' ).
In the control bar you can select from the points
= DVD title / CD track
or
= DVD chapter
the title or chapter you wish to play.
SEARCH
The standard search takes place at quadruple speed,
and is started by pressing the front panel buttons
    /     or the remote control buttons
    /     . Press the search button again to increase the
search speed. The search can be stopped at any time by
pressing the
    button.
The sound is muted during the search process.
Search using the control bar (DVD / VCD only):
In DVD mode a search can also be initiated under the
point using the control bar. In this case the speeds 4x, 8x
and 32x are available.
REPEAT
The machine features three REPEAT modes, for
repeating chapters, titles or the entire disc.

To switch on and select a REPEAT mode press the
    button on the front panel repeatedly until the
desired mode is displayed.

The REPEAT modes can also be selected using the
    button on the F1 handset.
SHUFFLE
(random playback)
This function provides a means of playing back chapters
or tracks in a random sequence.
Switching SHUFFLE mode on and off

Briefly press the     -button on the front panel
during playback. Shuffle mode is displayed on the
screen.

Press the


- button again to end Shuffle mode.

Shuffle mode can also be initiated by pressing the

button on the F1 handset.
SCAN
This is the procedure for playing the first 10 seconds of
each track on a CD or chapter on a DVD:
• Hold the


-button on the front panel pressed in
for about 2 seconds.

To continue playback of the selected track hold the

- button pressed in again, or press the



button briefly.
