underthedirectionofSynology)willberefusedand
returnedtoCustomeratCustomer'sexpense.Any
ProductthathasbeenassignedaRMAnumber
mustbereturnedinthesameconditionasitwas
receivedfromSynologytotheaddressdesignated
bySynology,freightpre-paid,inpackagingsufficient
toprotectthecontentsthereofandwiththeRMA
numberprominentlydisplayedontheoutsideofthe
box.Customerisresponsibleforinsuranceandrisk
oflosswithrespecttoreturneditemsuntiltheyare
properlyreceivedbySynology.AProductissued
aRMAnumbermustbereturnedwithinfifteen(15)
daysafterissuanceoftheapplicableRMAnumber.
2.4
Replacement by Synology.
IfSynology
electstoreplaceanyProductunderthisWarranty
setforthinSection2.1,thenSynologywillshipa
replacementProductatSynology'sexpensevia
theshippingmethodselectedbySynologyafter
receipt of the nonconforming Product returned
inaccordancewithSection2.3andvalidationby
SynologythattheProductdoesnotconformtothe
warranty.Insomecountries,Synologymayatits
owndiscretionapplytheSynologyReplacement
ServicetocertainProducts,throughwhichSynology
willshipareplacementProducttoCustomerbefore
itsreceiptofthenonconformingProductreturnedby
Customer(“SynologyReplacementService”).
2.5
Support.
During the Warranty Period,
Synology will make available to Customer the
supportservices.Followingtheexpirationofthe
applicableWarrantyPeriod,supportforProducts
may be available from Synology upon written
request.
2.6
Exclusions.
Theforegoingwarrantiesand
warrantyobligationsdonotapplytoanyProduct
that(a)hasbeeninstalledorusedinamannernot
specifiedordescribedintheProductspecifications;
(b)hasbeenrepaired,modifiedoralteredbyanyone
otherthanSynologyoritsagentordesignee;(c)
hasbeeninanywaymisused,abused,ordamaged;
(d) has been used with items not provided by
Synologyotherthanthehardwareorsoftwarefor
whichtheProductisdesigned;or(e)otherwise
failstoconformtotheProductspecificationsand
suchfailureisattributabletocausesnotwithinor
underSynology'scontrol.Further,theforegoing
warrantieswillbevoidif(1)Customerdisassembles
the Product except as authorized by Synology;
(2)Customerfailstoimplementanycorrection,
modification,enhancement,improvementorother
updatemadeavailabletoCustomerbySynology;
or(3)Customerimplements,installsorusesany
correction,modification,enhancement,improvement
orotherupdatemadeavailablebyanythirdparty.
ThewarrantysetforthinSection2.1willterminate
uponCustomer'ssaleortransferoftheProducttoa
thirdparty.
