Procedure N. Configuring WAN Port Using PPPoA Client
Step Procedure

Select PPPoA Client in the System Menu (Figure 43).

Enter the VPI value in the VPI field.

Enter the VCI value in the VCI field.

Select the Quality of Service type: UBR (default setting), CBR , or VBR . A pop-up screen appears. Enter the
appropriate information.

Select either None , CHAP , or PAP under Authentication (default is None ).

Enter a numerical value in the Time Out field.

If specifying a local IP address is desired, click the Specify an IP Address box under Local IP .

Enter a value in the Subnet Mask field.

If RIP is not desired under Routing Table , deselect the box ( RIP Allowed is the default setting).

If NAT is desired, click the NAT box under Advanced .

Click the Apply button if all data is correct.
