4.7 Using the appliance

- Make sure that the gas valve and all water taps are shut off.
- Turn on the gas meter/LPG cylinder valve.
- Turn on the valve immediately before the appliance on the
gas inlet pipe.
- Ensure that the appliance is receiving power (check the
phase, neutral and earth wires).
- When the appliance is powered the green LED (fig. 21 -
C
)
flashes on for 1 second and remains off for 5 seconds; turn
the dial (fig. 21 -
A
) to the “ON” position: the green LED will
flash with equal frequency. Turning on the hot water dispens-
ing tap starts the circuit board ignition sequence once a
flame has been detected; the green LED (fig. 21 -
C
) will
switch from flashing to remaining on. When the tap is shut
off, the appliance will switch to stand-by mode and the green
LED (fig. 21 -
C
) will flash to show that the appliance is ready
for further withdrawals.
- Should the burner not ignite within 10 seconds, the red LED
(fig. 21 -
D
) will illuminate. To resume operation, turn the dial
(fig. 21 -
A
) manually to the “OFF” position and then the “ON”
position.
b
Should the warning light continue to come on, please seek
assistance from a specialist technician at our Technical Sup-
port Centre.
b
Should the main burner accidently be switched off during
normal operation, try turning on once again.
b
If the appliance does not begin operating again within 10
seconds, the red LED (fig. 21 -
D
) will light up.
- Should the electricity supply be interrupted accidentally, the
solenoid valves will intercept the gas flow; when power is
restored, the ignition sequence is repeated.
- The air pressure switch monitors correct evacuation of the
products of combustion and intake of the combustion air.
In case of anomalies in the inlet and outlet pipes, the pressure
switch stops the flow of gas to the main burner. Once the anomaly
has been rectified, the appliance resumes normal operation.
USING THE WATER TEMPERATURE CONTROL POTENTIOM-
ETER
Turn the dial (fig. 21 -
B
) to select the hot water temperature re-
quested.
The requested temperature can be provided with a tolerance of
±2°C with respect to the value shown in the graph.
WATER OVER-TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE
The appliance is fitted with a device which monitors the tempera-
ture of the water as it leaves the heat exchanger. The device con-
sists of a safety thermostat which interrupts appliance operation
by intercepting the flow of gas to the main burner when the water
flowing into it exceeds a preset temperature.
Should the device be activated, the appliance will not work. The
red warning light (fig. 21 -
D
) will flash at intervals of 0.5 seconds.
To resume operation, turn the dial (fig. 21 -
A
) manually to the
“OFF” position and then the “ON” position.
Should the device be activated frequently, please seek assistance
from a qualified professional at our Technical Support Centre.
If there is a chance that the temperature in the area where the ap-
pliance is installed may fall below zero, drain the water from the
appliance.
To do so, shut off the cold water supply tap and turn on the user
hot and cold water taps.
