Intended use
This colour camera set is for mounting in, and protecting, secluded or critical areas
(e.g. entrance areas, surveillance of underground car parks).
The camera is suitable for outdoor use (IP66).
The voltage is supplied via 12 V/DC (a suitable power transformer is available as an
option).
The camera’s integrated infrared LEDs allow night vision. Please note that coloured
image reproduction changes into black and white monochrome when increasing dark-
ness activates the IR-LEDs. The brightness is detected by the camera using a photo
sensor on the front.
Please bear in mind that it is prohibited by law to observe strangers with a camera
without their knowledge and consent.
Do not operate the product in any other way than that described above. This could
lead to damage to the product, which may give rise to hazards such as short circuit,
fi
re and electric shock. The product must not be modi
fi
ed or converted. Always obser-
ve the safety instructions included in these operating instructions. Read the operating
instructions carefully and keep them for later reference.
Explanation of the Symbols
The “lightning” symbol indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of electric
shock.
The exclamation mark indicates particular risks in handling, function and
use.
The arrow symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to ob-
serve these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any
con sequential damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions. The
warranty will be void in such cases.
• The camera must not be modi
fi
ed or converted, as not only will the CE appro-
val become void but also the warranty.
• The camera should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sun-
light, intense vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Falls from a low height can damage the camera.
• If the device is used with other devices e.g. a monitor, the operating instruc-
tions and safety notices for the connected devices must be followed.
• The use of the surveillance camera system does not replace the personal
supervision of children, or people who require special assistance, but only
serves as a support to this supervision.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the camera requires some time to sta-
bilise, in order to adjust to the ambient temperature, before it can be used.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of child-
ren!
• Please contact a quali
fi
ed person, if you are unsure about the safety and
correct use of the system components.
• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic
fi
lm/
bags etc. can be dangerous playthings for children; there is a risk of suffo-
cation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, dis-
connect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible when:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device does not operate any longer and
- if the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of
time
or
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.

In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer’s Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Opera-
ting Materials are to be observed.
• The camera is suitable for outdoor use (IP66).
• The voltage is supplied via 12 V/DC (a suitable power supply is available as
an option).
• Ensure that all the electrical connections and connection cables between
the different devices and any extension cables comply with the regulations
and comply with the operating instructions.
• When installing / mounting the appliance, make sure that the connection
cable is neither pinched nor damaged by sharp edges.
• Disconnect the power supply from the power socket if the unit is not to be
used for a while.
• Disconnect the camera from the power supply before cleaning.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the camera from the power supply during
thunderstorms.
• Never pour out
fl
uids above electrical devices.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a quali
fi
ed
specialist or a specialised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please

Installation
All connection cables must neither be
fl
exed nor squashed. This can re-
sult in malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device.
Make sure that cables are not damaged when drilling or bolting into
place.
Please note, you should choose a position for your camera that it is not
exposed to direct sunlight (this can cause glare). Further, the camera
must be protected from dust and vibration.
The camera’s integrated infrared LEDs allow night vision. Please note
that coloured image reproduction changes into black and white mono-
chrome when increasing darkness activates the IR-LEDs. The brightness
is detected by the camera using a photo sensor on the front.
• Find a suitable location for mounting the camera.
Ensure that the plug and socket on the connection cable are not expo-
sed to damp. Plugs and sockets may only be used indoors. The came-
ra cable must (for installation in outdoor areas or in damp rooms) be
placed so it is led into a dry room.
• There are 3 mounting holes in the mounting base. Hold the mounting base against
the desired mounting spot and mark the
fi
xing holes.
• Drill the holes.
• Fasten the mounting base into place using appropriate installation material.
• Screw the camera onto the mounting base and fasten the locking screws.
• Adjust the camera to the desired position. To do this, loosen the locking screw and
after successfully adjusting the camera, tighten it again to secure the position.
Do not point the camera directly towards a source of bright sunlight or
towards strong or indirect illumination as this may lead to overexposure
and a fuzzy picture.
Connection
To provide the suitable voltage supply, an optional power transformer
is required (recommended: 12 V/DC, 500 mA, plug polarity: inside=plus,
outside=minus). When acquiring this power transformer, check that the
polarity of the low-voltage plug of the power transformer corresponds
to the polarity marked on the low-voltage connector of the camera.
The wrong polarity can cause damage to the camera!
Proceed as follows to make the correct connections:
• Connect the BNC connector to the analogue video input of your display (e.g. moni-
tor).
• Connect the low voltage plug of your power transformer (not included in the delivery)
to the low voltage connector on the camera
• Plug the power transformer into a domestic mains socket (230 V/AC 50 Hz).
• Turn your display device on and set the appropriate channel to enable the display
function.
