  A  diode  (1N4004)  must  be  installed  when  using  a 

standard power adapter for the relay and code lock, 

otherwise the code lock may be damaged.

The  code  lock  can  be  used  with  fail-safe  or  fail-secure  door 

openers. Pay attention to the following during the connection 

process.

 - "Fail-secure"  door  openers:  Fail-secure  door  openers 

release the latch when the power supply delivers a voltage 

(standard door opener type).

 - "Fail-safe"  door  openers:  Fail-safe  door  openers  release 

the latch when the power supply stops delivering a voltage 

(non-standard door opener type, used for emergency exit 

doors so that the door opens in the event of a power cut).
