In the tree view, highlight:
\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

Select Edit | Add Key.

In the Key Name box, enter:
SYBHIS_
hsName
where hsName is the name of the Historical Server you just configured.
Leave the Class box blank.

In the tree view, highlight:
\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SYBHIS_
hsName

Select Edit | Add Value as many times as necessary to enter all of the
following values, datatypes, and strings to the
SYBHIS_
hsName key entry.

Make sure the
SYBHIS_
hsName key entry remains highlighted.
10 Select Edit | Add Key.
11 In the Key Name box, enter:

Leave the Class box blank.
12 In the tree view, highlight the following Security key entry:
\SOFTWARE\SYBASE\Server\
hsName
\Security
13 Select Edit | Add Value.
14 Enter the following values for value name, datatype, and binary editor:
