Fitting the battery packs
Your radio is supplied with two rechargeable Ni-MH battery packs, which
must be fitted before using the equipment.
1. To release the belt clip, push the upper tab outwards and slide the belt
clip upwards (see 3.5).
2. Then open the compartment by pulling the catch upwards.
3. Now insert the battery pack taking care to ensure that the polarity is
correct. The two round charging contacts are located at the top.
Incorrect polarity can damage the unit.
4. Close the battery compartment and re-fix the belt clip (see 3.5).
You can find out how to charge the radios in Chapter 3.4.
Note:
If you are not using the radios over an extended period, please
remove the battery packs or any batteries that may have been used from
the radios.
Battery operation
In place of the battery pack you can also use four 1.5V AAA batteries.
Please use only the best quality.
Take care to ensure that the polarity is correct when inserting. Do not
place the radio in the charging station if you are using normal batteries.
