6.1.4 Save message
Select the message to be saved by means of the lower key (3). Press
the middle key (2) to confirm the saving operation. The message is
now stored in the safe message folder and cannot be deleted by new
incoming messages anymore. If the safe message folder is full, old
messages have to be deleted to gain space for a new message to be
saved. Only single messages, not belonging to a message folder, can
be saved.
To return to the main menu, press the upper key (1).
6.1.5 Switch RIC on and off
Each address (RIC) can be switched on and off. If an address is
switched off, incoming messages are ignored. Switching off of RICs
has no impact on power consumption.
6.2 Alert group
If a new message has been received, the symbol
u
appears and the
pager alerts as it is described in the sections below. Basically there
is a differentiation between priority calls and non priority calls. The
setting of the alerts allows different acoustic and vibrating alarm
dependant on the priority of the message. A different alarm scheme
can be configured for each address.
Each alarm can be stopped by pressing any key. To configure the
alarm, select with the upper key (2) the alarm menu in the main menu.
With the lower key (3) choose the desired alert type and confirm it by
pressing the middle key (2). The selected alert mode is indicated on
the status display.
