Important information

General ventilation in the

kitchen

The general ventilation in the

kitchen must not be routed via the

cooker hood if the hood's duct is

connected to the ventilation unit's

separate extract air duct. The ven-

tilation unit's separate extract air

duct runs past the heat exchanger

and the use of this duct will have

an effect on the annual efficiency

of the ventilation unit.

Commissioning

Installation, adjustment and com-

missioning must be carried out in

accordance with local directives.

The entire ventilation of the

residence must be taken into con-

sideration when adjusting the

cooker hood’s air flow.
The cooker hood must only be con-

nected to a chimney that conforms

to the regulations. In high-rise blocks

the permission of the property

company is always required.

Safety clearance

The relative spacing between the

cooker hood and the hob level

should be at least: 400 mm (recom-

mendation 500 mm, electric cook-

er) 650 mm (gas hob).
Follow separate instructions from

the local authorities or the cooker

manufacturer. Always consult your

local fire consultant prior to instal-

lation if the relative space is smaller

than 500 mm between the cooker

hood and the hob.

Replacement air

Ensure sufficient replacement air is

taken into the room.
This applies especially if a fireplace

is used as well as a cooker hood.

Service measures

The service measures that the user

can carry out are limited to clean-

ing the surfaces of the appliance

and the grease filter.
