Prepare the line for flaring:
The end of the brake line must be cut off at a right angle.
The end of the line must be deburred.
If the brake line is sheathed in plastic remove about 3 mm of the plastic from the
brake line. Do this carefully and make sure you do not score or damage the bared
brake line. Do not use any abrasives or polishes. Blow off to remove all remnants
and dirt after crimping.

Operation:
This flaring tool can only process lines with a d
iameter of 4.75 mm (3/16‘‘). Prepare the
line for flaring as described above. For illustration purposes the pictures show the flaring
device without the top pressure piece.
1. First decide on the flaring standard you want to use
–
SAE or DIN. Then select
the clamping piece set and screw it hand-tight to the handle.

2. Push the brake line into the clamping piece set up to the illustrated line.
3. Hand-tighten both clamping screws.
4. To determine the correct clearance of the line, screw the spacing screw in up to
the limit stop in the clamping piece set.
5. Tighten both clamping screws.
6. Remove the spacing screw
7. Select the flaring adapter that matches your clamping set.
8. Please grease the thread on the adapter to prevent damages.
