FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
INDICATOR LIGHT “FI”

If the fuel injection system fails,
the fuel injection system indicator
light
6
comes on and the display
indicates “FI” at the clock display
in the following two modes;
A. The display
7
indicates “FI”
intermittently, and the fuel
injection system indicator light
6
comes on and remains lit.
B. The display
7
indicates “FI”
continuously and the fuel injec-
tion system indicator light
6
blinks while cranking the
engine.
The engine may continue to run in
mode A, but the engine will not
run in mode B.
NOTE: If the display indicates “FI”
continuously and the fuel injection
system indicator light blinks, the
engine will not start.
When the display indicates
“CHEC”, check the following
items;
•
Make sure that the engine stop
switch is in the “

” position.
• Make sure that the transmis-
sion is in neutral or the side
stand is fully up.
If the display still indicates
“CHEC” after checking the above
items, inspect the ignition fuse
and the connection of the lead
wire couplers.

NOTICE
The fuel injection indicator
light comes on to indicate a
problem with the fuel injection
system.
If the display indicates “FI” and
the fuel injection system indi-
cator light comes on, have your
authorized Suzuki dealer or a
qualified mechanic inspect the
fuel injection system as soon
as possible.
