Enabling the alarm system
The alarm must be initiated to make it operational. To do this, turn the ignition key OFF-ON-OFF.
The alarm system’s LED (Photograph 10) will now flash, indicating how many remote controls have
been paired up to the system by flashing the appropriate number of times (two are supplied as standard).
The system is now operational. Please refer to the user manual, supplied with the Alarm Kit item code
990D0 – ALARM – 000 for further details and specifications.

Fitting Instructions
CAUTION
Make sure the alarm harness is secured properly and use the plastic cable ties
provided in the kit if necessary.
Photo 7:
Lay the alarm harness along the original wiring and use the fixing points already provided on
the vehicle (
Q
) and (
R
).
CAUTION
Take the cap off the four-way connector on the original wiring.

Connect the two connectors on the cable harness (four way connector and single pin connector)
with the relative matching connectors on the original wiring, located behind the rear left fairing (
S
).

Use Double-sided adhesive tape to stick the LED (
T
) onto the support for the ignition key unit,
lay the relative cable and secure it using a cable tie onto the immobiliser cable (
U
).

Before replacing the support for the ignition key unit (

), connect the LED up to the two-way
connector, see
photo 5, ref. (O).
Assemble all dismounted covers and parts in the opposite way of dismounting.
