8.11.2 Field-bus Ethernet
When S551 communicates with the S4A or S4M server through the TCP
protocol, do the following:
1. Click the
Field-bus Ethernet
icon.
2. Select a protocol as needed.
3. Select how the S551 is assigned with an IP address:
•
For a quick and temporary access to the LAN where DHCP is
supported, you can select
Get IP Automatically (DHCP)
.
•
For a long term and steady access to the LAN or the LAN does
not support DHCP, you can select
Use following IP
Configuration
,
and then configure the
IP address
,
Subnet
mask
, and
default gateway
of the
S551
.
