1
The following hazard alert label and symbols are
used:
The CIC is equipped with a rating plate on the rear
side and the warning symbol regarding electrical
shock as hazards.
1.4. General Electrical Safety
Precautions
The CIC is designed according IEC/EN/UL 61010-1.
Hazardous voltages are present at connectors and
inside the power supply as well as at the ignition unit
or inside the lamp house.
The CIC shall only be serviced by qualified SUSS
technicians. There are no user related Type 3 or
Type 4 tasks (referring to SEMI S22).
Do not attempt to open, modify or alter the CIC.
Use of unapproved components can result in fire or
electric shock.
Warning!
Never open covers of the CIC, the igni-
tion unit or the lamp house while the
power line is connected. The CIC and
ignition unit do not contain user ser-
viceable parts.
Voltage is still present to the CIC when
the host machine (e.g. mask aligner) is
deactivated but in „stand by“.
1.4.1. Fuse Replacement
Where necessary, deactivate and lock-off the host
machine and remove machine covers or panels to
access the rear of the CIC (see 4.2. CIC Rear Pan-
el).
With some of the host machines it may be necessary
to move the CIC. Disconnect the supplying appli-
ance coupler, remove clamps and fixings and where
necessary remove other connectors. Then carefully
move and lift the equipment.
Warning!
Heavy object! Never move or lift with
one person only. Get help, use proper
lifting aids and ensure safe standing
postures.
Open and remove the fuse holder clip.
Replace the fuses only of the same type and with the
same load as the replaced fuse (see 2. Technical
Specification CIC1200).
If any problem occurs with the power supply, turn the
equipment off and notify your supervisor or mainte-
nanceimmediately.
