Serial Port
Select Enabled to enable a serial port specifi ed by the user. The options are
Enabled and Disabled.
Serial Port Mode
The options are SOL and COM.
Device Settings
This feature indicates whether or not a reset is required for a serial port specifi ed.
Change Settings
Use this feature to set the optimal Platform Environment Control Interface (PECI)
setting for a serial port specifi ed. The default setting is Auto , which will allow the
AMI BIOS to automatically select the best setting for the PECI platform.
Device Mode
Use this feature to select the desired mode for a serial port specifi ed. The options
are Normal and High Speed.

ME (Management Engine) Updates
ME Updates
Select Enabled to update ME settings. The options are Enabled and Disabled.

Serial Port Console Redirection
These submenus allow the user to confi gure the following Console Redirection
settings for a COM Port 0 or COM Port 1 as specifi ed by the user.
COM 0/COM 1
Console Redirection
Select Enabled to use a COM Port selected by the user for Console Redirection.
The options are Enabled and Disabled. (The default setting for COM0 is Disabled ,
and for COM1 is Enabled .)

Console Redirection Settings
This feature allows the user to specify how the host computer will exchange
data with the client computer, which is the remote computer used by the user.
