Installing the Processor
Avoid placing direct pressure to the top of the pro-
cessor package. Always remove the power cord first
before adding, removing or changing any hardware
c o m p o n e n t s .
Processor Support
The P8SC8 has a single LGA775 socket, which supports Intel Pentium 4
(800 MHz FSB) or Intel Celeron (533 MHz FSB) processors.

1. Press the socket lever to release
the load plate that covers the CPU
socket from its locking position.

2. Carefully lift the socket lever up
to open the load plate.

3. Locate Pin 1 on the CPU socket.
(Pin 1 is closest to the notched cor-
ner of the housing.) Please note
that a North key and a South key
(notches) are located at opposite
sides of the CPU housing.
