5-6 Adding PCI Add-On Cards
The 1027R-WC1R/1027R-WC1RT can accommodate two full-height, half-length
PCI-E 3.0 x16 profi le add-on (expansion) card installed to the riser card included
in the system.
Installing an Add-on Card
1. Begin by removing the shield located by the riser card.
2. Fully seat the card into the riser, pushing down with your thumbs evenly on
both sides of the card.
3. Finish by using a screw to secure the top of the card shield to the chassis.
The PCI slot shields protect the serverboard and its components from EMI
and aid in proper ventilation, so make sure there is always a shield covering
each unused slot.
