Primary IDE Master/Slave, Secondary IDE Master/Slave, or Primary IDE
Master/Slave, SATA Port 1, SATA Port 2,SATA Port 3, SATA Port 4
These settings allow the user to set the parameters of Primary IDE Master/Slave
and Secondary IDE Master/Slave slots. Hit <Enter> to activate the following sub-
menu screen for detailed options of these items. Set the correct confi gurations
accordingly. The items included in the sub-menu are:
Type
This feature allows the user to select the IDE hard drive type. Select User to
allow the user to enter the parameters of the HDD installed at this connection.
Select
Auto
to allow the BIOS to automatically confi gure the parameters of
the HDD installed at the connection. Enter a number from 1-39 to select a
predetermined type for the hard drive disks. Select CDROM if a CDROM drive
is installed. Select ATAPI if a removable disk drive is installed.
CHS Format
The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:
TYPE:
This item displays the type of CPU.
Cylinders:
This item indicates the status of Cylinders.
Headers:
This item indicates the number of headers.
Sectors:
This item displays the number of sectors.
Maximum Capacity:
This item displays the maximum storage capacity of
the system.
