Installing DDR Memory
CAUTION
Exercise extreme care when installing or removing memory
modules to prevent any possible damage.
Memory Module Installation (See Figure 2-2)
1.
Insert each DDR memory module vertically into its slot. Pay attention to
the notch along the bottom of the module to prevent inserting the mod-
ule incorrectly. (See support information below.)
2.
Gently press down on the memory module until it snaps into place.
Support
The P4SPA+/P4SPE supports Dual or Single channel, Non-ECC, unbuf-
fered DDR-400/333/266 SDRAM. Both interleaved and non-interleaved
memory is supported, so you may populate any number of DIMM slots.
(Populate DIMM1,DIMM3 and/or DIMM2, DIMM4 with memory modules of
the same size/same type will result in the dual channel, two-way inter-
leaved memory which is faster than the single channel, non-interleaved
memory.)
