Select your motherboard model on the web page and download the corresponding
BIOS fi le to your computer. Unzip the BIOS update fi le, in which you will fi nd the
readme.txt (fl ash instructions), the afudos.smc (BIOS fl ash utility) and the BIOS
image (H8xxx.xxx) fi les. Copy these fi les to a bootable fl oppy disk, insert the disk
into drive A and reboot the system. At the DOS prompt after rebooting, enter the
command "fl ash" (without quotation marks) then type in the BIOS fi le that you want
to update with (xxxx.rom).
Use the procedures below to fl ash from a BIOS fl ash fl oppy or USB disk.
For <fi lename>.exe
Run the <fi lename>.exe fi le under Windows to create the BIOS fl ash fl oppy

disk.
Insert the fl oppy, into the system for which you wish to fl ash the BIOS.

Boot up the system for which you wish to fl ash the BIOS.

The BIOS utility will run automatically and begin fl ashing the BIOS WITHOUT

any prompts.
After the BIOS completes the fl ashes, system will reboot or needs manually

reboot.
It will show "CMOS Checksum Error" on the POST, press F1 key to boot into

BIOS setup page.
Hit F9 Key to load optimal default setting, and change other BIOS setting if

you needed.
Hit F10 to save the BIOS setting and system reboots.

Warning:
Flashing the wrong BIOS can cause harm to the system.
