C6DRAM
This feature enables/disables moving of DRAM contents to PRM memory
when the CPU is in C6 (Deep-C) state. Enabling this will increase lag time
to return to higher C-states. The default option is
Disabled
.
PRMRR Size
The BIOS must reserve a contiguous region of Processor Reserved Mem-
ory (PRM) in the Processor Reserved Memory Range Register (PRMRR).
This feature appears if SW Guard Extensions is enabled. The options are
Auto
, 32MB, 64MB, and 128MB.
Hardware Prefetcher
If this feature is set to Enabled, the hardware prefetcher will prefetch
streams of data and instructions from the main memory to the Level
2 (L2) cache to improve CPU performance. The options are Disabled or
Enabled
.
Adjacent Cache Line Prefetch
Select Enabled for the CPU to prefetch both cache lines for 128 bytes as
comprised. Select Disable for the CPU to prefetch both cache lines for
64 bytes. The options are Disabled or
Enabled
.
Note
: If there is any change to this setting, you will need to power
off and reboot the system for the change to take effect. Please
refer to Intel’s website for detailed information.
Intel (VMX) Virtualization Technology
Select Enabled to use Intel Virtualization Technology so that I/O de-
vice assignments will be reported directly to the VMM (Virtual Memory
Management) through the DMAR ACPI Tables. This feature offers fully-
protected I/O resource-sharing across the Intel platforms, providing the
user with greater reliability, security and availability in networking and
data-sharing. The options are Disabled or
Enabled
.
PECI
This feature monitors CPU thermal readings and controls automatic cool-
ing. The settings are Disabled or
Enabled
.
Active Processor Cores
This feature allows the user to choose how many cores are active. The
