4. Press the release tab on the side of the drive carrier and slide the carrier out of the
drive cage.
5. If you are replacing a drive, remove the drive from the carrier by pulling the sides of the
carrier outwards.
6. Insert a new drive into a drive carrier by snapping it in.
7. Slide the drive assembly into the drive cage until it clicks into a locked position.
8. Connect the power and data cables to the hard drive.
9. Slide the drive cage into of the chassis and tighten the thumb screw.
U.2 SSD Storage
Two U.2 solid state storage drives are supported. The drives can be mounted in the primary
3.5" storage drive cage using an adapter (MCP-220-73102-0N) or in the optional 2.5" cage
(MCP-220-73201-0N).
An optional cable (CBL-SAST-0957) is required for each port. It plugs into the JNVME1
connector on the motherboard. See the following figure for that location.
