Motherboard Connections
This section describes the connections on the motherboard and provides pinout definitions.
Note that depending on how the system is configured, not all connections are required.
The LEDs on the motherboard are also described here. A motherboard layout indicating
component locations may be found in Chapter 1.
Please review the Safety Precautions in Chapter 3 before installing or removing components.
4.1 Power Connections
ATX Power Supply Connector
The primary 24-pin power supply connector (JPWR1) meets the ATX SSI EPS 12V
specification. An 4-pin (JPW2) processor power connector must also be connected to your
power supply.

Four-Pin Power Connector
JPW2 is a 4-pin 12V DC power input for the CPU
that must be connected to the power supply.

Important:
To provide adequate power supply to the motherboard, be sure to connect the
24-pin ATX PWR and the 4-pin PWR connectors to the power supply. Failure to do so may
void the manufacturer warranty on your power supply and motherboard.
