Removing and Installing the Backplane
The CSE-F418BC3 chassis backplane is located behind the hard drives and in front of the
front system fans in each node. Although backplane failure rarely occurs, in the event of a
backplane failure, follow the instructions below.
Removing the Backplane
Removing the Backplane from the Chassis
1.
Remove the node from the chassis and remove the cover from the node.
2.
Remove the air shroud.
3.
Ensure that all of the hard drive carriers have been removed from the front of the node.
4.
Disconnect all cables to the hard drive backplane.
5. Remove the four screws securing the backplane to the node and lift the bqackplane
from the chassis.
