SYMPTOM

Nothing happens when the fireplace
is turned ON/OFF.
Remote control system is not functioning
properly.
To use the remote control system, the Wall ON/
REMOTE/OFF switch must be set to REMOTE.
Manually operate the fireplace using the Wall ON/
REMOTE/OFF switch.
Replace the batteries in the handheld remote and/or
behind the Wall ON/REMOTE/OFF switch plate.
Unit is not receiving power.
Check/replace batteries behind the wall switchplate.
Check building circuit breakers to ensure power is on
to the fireplace.
Gas is not reaching the fireplace.
Check the gas supply and gas shutoff valves (call a
service technician, if required).*
The main burner does not light and
the igniter is sparking.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Electronic Gas Control System
NOTE: Service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency, or your gas supplier.
BEFORE TROUBLESHOOTING THE UNIT:
1. Confirm there is power to the unit (fireplace).
2. Confirm there is gas to the unit (fireplace).
3. The igniter module in the fireplace is equipped with a device that can put the unit into a lockout state. Follow the steps in the chart below to reset the
control: Turn the ON/REMOTE/OFF switch to the OFF position, or turn the remote to the OFF position.
4. If this is the first time that the unit has been fired, check the wiring of the unit against the wiring diagram before commencing troubleshooting.
