Place 2 strips of butyl tape on the starter panel across the full width of the panel, see blue line below.

Reinstall overlapping r‐panel removed in step 2. Existing screw holes across the panel will not be used and
should be filled in with sealant.

Secure rails/starter panel to r‐panel and purlins using 3” Tek screw w/EPDM washer (#9). One screw per
purlin per side, 6 screws in total.

Then fasten rails and starter panel to r‐panel with 1.25” Tek screw w/EPDM washer (#10) every 18”
