5. Electrical Connection
15
It is recommended that devices of different models need to be
connected to the local controller separately. For example, connect
the PCS and the battery BMS to different RS485 communication
ports of the local controller.
Addresses of all devices connected to each input of the bus RS485
must be within set address range of the local controller and be
different from each other. Otherwise, communication failure occurs.
The baud rate of all devices connected to each bus RS485 must be
consistent with that of the local controller.
6.3.2 Internet Port Connection
The internet port of the local controller can be connected to the PCS. Connect
both the local controller and to-be-connected devices to the switch through
ETH1 and corresponding network ports, where Modbus-TCP communication
protocol is supported.
IP addresses of all devices must be on the same network segment
as the local controller address, and be different from each other.
Otherwise, communication failure occurs.
6.4 Connection to System EMS
The local controller can be connected to the system EMS via the Ethernet port,
and the communication protocol is standard Modbus-TCP.
The connection method is as follows:
In the following, an example of the connection to the background monitoring
system through the Ethernet switch is used for description.
Step 1
Insert one end of the network cable (within the scope of delivery) to the
electricity port of the Ethernet switch and the other end to the port ETH2
of the local controller.
