IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should be observed,  
including the following:

WARNING: TO REDUCE ThE RISk OF FIRE, ELECTRICAL ShOCk,  
OR INjURy:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING yOUR VACUUM CLEANER.

1.  Do not leave cleaner when it is plugged in.

2.  Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.

3.  Do not use with damaged cord or plug

4.  To unplug grasp plug not cord 

5.  Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord, pull cord 

around sharp corners, run cleaner over cord, or expose cord to heated surfaces.

6.  Hold plug when rewinding the cord onto the reel. Do not allow the plug to whip 

when rewinding.

7.  Do not use cleaner if it has been dropped, damaged. Left outdoors or dropped 

into water. Return it to an Authorized Service Centre.

8.  Do not allow children to use as a toy.

9.  Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.

10.  Do not handle cleaner or plug with wet hands.

11.  Do not put any object into openings, use with blocked opening, or restrict air flow.

12.  Do not use without filters in place.

13.  Do not allow hair, loose clothing, fingers or body parts to get near openings or floor 

brush in the appliance.

14.  Do not pick up hot coals, cigarette butts, matches or any hot, smoking, or burning 

objects.

15.  Do not pick up hard or sharp objects such as glass, nails, screws, coins, etc.

16.  Do not pick up flammable or combustible materials (lighter fluid, gasoline, kero-

sene, etc.) or use in the presence of explosive liquids or vapour.

17.  Do not pick up toxic material (chlorine bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner, etc)

18.  Do not use in an enclosed space filled with vapours given off by oil base paint, 

paint thinner, some moth proofing substances, flammable dust, or other explosive 

or toxic vapours.

19.  Do not use for any purpose other than described in this User’s Guide.

20.  Always turn off this appliance before connecting or disconnecting vacuum hose.

21.  Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.

22.  Use only on dry, indoor surfaces.

23.  Keep openings free of dust, lint, hair, etc.

24.  Keep appliance on a level surface.

25.  Turn off all controls before plugging or unplugging cleaner.

26.  Be extra careful when cleaning stairs.

27.  Pay close attention when working around children.

28.  Do no pull the power cable by hands after use.

29.  Do not run the appliance over the power cable when it is on.

30.  Do not use the appliance to suck in burning cigarettes ends.

31.  Do not absorb water or other liquid.

32.  Do not suck in needles, drawing-pins or string cement, plaster, or other material  

for construction and decoration.

33.  Do not get the appliances close to hotspot.
