Read Block Limits Command

Read Block Limits Command
The Read Block Limits command establishes the longest and shortest record
size supported by the tape drive. This command returns six bytes of data.
•
When the DIV feature is not enabled the Maximum Block Length reported
by the Read Block Limits command is 2,097,152 bytes.
•
When the DIV feature is enabled the Maximum Block Length reported by
the Read Block Limits command is increased by 4 bytes to account for the
extra bytes of PI data (2,097,156 bytes).
