Modulation will occur between the regulated set point and the setting of the pressure switch, which should
be 10 psi (0.7 bar) over regulated set pressure to create a 10 psi (0.7 bar) modulating range. When the line
pressure satisfies the customer’s demand set pressure, the control regulating valve will sense the demand
change and start supplying air to the to the desired position. The reduced volume of air will attempt to
sustain the line pressure until either a higher demand of air is required, which will force the system back to
full-load status, or no more air is required, which will force the system into unload status. Once the pressure
approaches the 10 psi overshoot, the valve will be completely closed. This will be prior to the control system
going into an unload status.
