In order to achieve all possible flow rates, it is necessary to
use a flow rate reducer on spreaders equipped with W-
Weighing or W-Control. There are 3 models of flow rate
reducer device:
Slug pellets and small seeds reducer: Optional ref
209546
1/2 Reducer: Not supplied with models Weighing W and
W-Control - Specific uses
2/3 Reducer: Standard with models weighing W and W-
Control.
In parallel, it is necessary to select on the terminal the
model of reducer installed on the machine.
To know when using a flow rate reducer
The graph below makes it possible to determine from the instantaneous flow, whether or not to use a flow rate reducer.
The instantaneous flow rate is calculated from the following calculation:
Flow rate (kg/ min) =
Rate (kg ha)
⁄
∗ Width (m) ∗ Forward speed (km h
⁄ )
600
Example, for an 200 kg/ha at 10 km/h and 24 m wide spreading :
200(𝑘𝑔 ℎ𝑎)
⁄
∗24 (𝑚)∗10(𝑘𝑚 ℎ
⁄ )
600
= 80 𝑘𝑔/𝑚𝑖𝑛
In this case the use of the 2/3 reducer is the most appropriate.
Settings from the terminal :
Access to
JOB SETTINGS
page and press
.
Press the window and choose the appropriate line:
Regulation ON
= Normal use without reducer
2 / 3
= Use with 2/3 reducer
1 / 2
= Use with 1/2 reducer (special uses)
Regulation OFF
= No regulation, disconnect the rate
actuators from the flow levers and manually adjust the openings.
Use for small flow rates using slug pellets reducers.
Valid from spreaders no. 18AC09105 and 18AE09104 and minimum software version CMS 104 202 rev 51.
