* Theoretic values depend in practice on local circumstances and can result in lower values.
Example:
Local circumstances: 4 bar of pressure, ¾" water line (150 l/min)
Question:
How many cattle drinking bowls can be connected?
Calculation:
150 l/min : 12 l/min = 12,5 pieces
12,5 pieces x
2
(experimental value*) = 25 pieces
Answer:
25 pieces of cattle drinking bowls can be connected.
Water flow quantity depends on the following conditions:
Water pressure, length of pipes and cross sectional area as well as the quantity of reduction pieces and curves.
*Experimental value
is based on field test, which revealed that not all the drinking bowls are actionned at
the same
time. That’s why the result has to be multiplied with
factor two
.
Heating Unit must be used with two separate residual current devices (RCD): two-pole 30 mA (for the-
pump and for the heating element).
A damaged heating or pump can cause that the residual current circuit breaker triggers and the heating unit and the
pump are out of function. This leads that the water supply line risks to freeze due to a cold outside temperature.
Special and corresponding steps have to be taken at the spot by the user to protect it against freezing:
e.g. frost protection heating cables, warning system, etc.
