Freezer Evaporator Thermistor
(611-2, 611G-2, 650-2, 650G-2)
The freezer evaporator thermistor is attached with a

To remove the evaporator thermistor, the freezer air
duct, evaporator cover and evaporator fan assembly
must be removed first, then
1.
Disconnect thermistor wire leads from wire harness.
NOTE:

Extract screw which secures thermistor to left evap-
orator bracket.
Defrost Terminator (611-2, 611G-2, 650-2, 650G-2)

Disconnect terminator wire leads from wire harness.
2.
Pull terminator off of tubing.
Defrost Heater (611-2, 611G-2, 650-2, 650G-2)
The defrost heater is inserted into channels in the fins
of the evaporator. C-shaped heater clips are hooked
from one evaporator tube to another, over the heater, to
hold it in place.
To remove the defrost heater, the freezer air duct, freez-
er evaporator cover and evaporator fan assembly must
be removed first, then
1.
Disconnect heater wire leads from wire har

2.
With pliers, or similar tool, detach heater clips by
pulling tab of clips away from evaporator.
3.
Gently pull heater down and to the left, out of evap-

NOTE:
A heater strap is wrapped around the defrost
heater, then inserted into the drain cup. This strap con-
ducts heat into the drain cup during defrost. This strap
must be reinstalled when replacing the defrost heater.
