INSTRUCTIONS FOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS:
1. The electrical panel of the evaporating unit can be accessed removing its bottom panel. Its
position is in the middle of the unit. The electrical panel of the condensing unit can be accessed
removing its front panel.
2. Connect main power supply from the evaporating to the condensing unit using a cable
suitable to the current absorbed by the condenser unit (indicated in technical data sheets at
the beginning of this manual). It is important to make this connection before feeding the
evaporating unit with the main power supply. This cable, after being connected to the electric
panel in the appropriate position (indicated in the electrical diagram of the unit), must be
routed out of the evaporating unit through a hole in the same plate which is used to put the
power supply cables into the evaporating unit. Standard position of this plate, is on the left
side of the evaporating unit, looking at it from the front side. Position of this plate can also be
changed manually to the right side.
Then, the cable must be taken out of the cabinet through an additional hole to the condensing
unit, into a hole on its rear side. Then, the cable must be connected to the electrical panel of
condensing unit, as shown in the electrical diagrams.
NOTE: provide proper sealing to the hole in cabinet wall for this cable, to prevent any water
(rain) infiltration.
3. Check the electrical diagram, included in the part 2 manual. A dashed line separates the
circuits of the motor-condensing unit from the circuits of the evaporating unit. Every line
passing over this dashed line represents a connection cable between the indoor and the
outdoor unit. Besides the power supply cables, there might be also the signal and sensor
cables. Signal cables can be grouped in a multi-wire cable.
4. Connect main power supply and emergency power supply cables to the internal unit, passing
them through the two holes in the plate on the side of the evaporating unit (the same described
at point 1.). These cables must be connected to the terminal on the electrical panel inside
the evaporating unit, following the positions indicated in the electrical diagram of the unit.
5. Minifit connectors for signals, as well as connectors for sequencing and key-pad, are on
the electrical panel. The corresponding cables pass through the holes on the same plate
used for power supply cables (see points 1. and 2.).
