Setting up the optional Zoom

If your product is equipped with the optional

Zoom®

drive wheel option, follow the setup instructions below before

putting the product into service:

1. Plug the product into a grounded, hospital grade wall outlet. The 12V batteries that provide power to the drive wheel

and the backup power to the unit functions, will charge whenever the power cord is plugged into a wall outlet.

Note:

You must charge the batteries for approximately 10 hours before the product is put into service.

2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Push the battery power switch located on the lower left corner of the

head end to the on position (

Figure 6 on page 21

).

Note:

Make sure that each function is working on the footboard control panel and the head end siderails (see

Setup on

page 16

).

3. With the battery power switch on and the brakes applied, make sure that the
