All fasteners secure
Siderails move and lock properly
All casters lock with brake pedal engaged
Foot end steering caster locks with steer engaged (page 9)
Fowler crank operating properly (page 76)
Knee Gatch crank operating properly (page 75)
Lift pedal operating properly (page 6)
Trendelenburg/Reverse Trendelenburg pedals operating properly (page 6)
All functions on head and foot end control panels operating properly –head end is optional equipment–
(page 12)
Patient and/or nurse control functions operating properly (optional equipment)
Weigh system operating properly (page 20)
Safety switches on Knee Gatch and Fowler operating properly
I.V. pole working properly (page 104–106)
O2 bottle holder working properly (page 108)
Restraint strap mounting points secure to litter
Restraint straps working properly (optional equipment)
Head and foot boards secure in frame ends
No cracks or splits in head and foot boards
No rips or cracks in mattress cover
Before continuing the checklist, raise the bed to full up, unplug the power cord from the wall receptacle, and
lift and support the hood assembly.
Power cord not frayed; no loose connections (page 34 or 35)
No cables worn or pinched
All electrical connections tight
All grounds secure to frame
_____ Ground impedance of optional 110 volt outlet not more than 100 milliohms
Ground chain intact and in place
Hydraulic oil level sufficient (page 7)
No leaks at hydraulic connections
No hoses worn, kinked or leaking
Fowler slides securely in tracks and tracks well greased (use MPG Dubois or equivalent)
Lexan securely fitted; no cracks
Brake cam pad not excessively worn
