A cam disc group is assigned to each contact, consisting of a cam disc (1), adjustable cam (2), adjustment
worm (3) and tooth ring (4). The adjustable cam (2) is connected to the switching shaft by means of positive
locking via a tooth ring (4). The adjustment worm (3) with a self-locking feature transfers the torque further by
means of positive locking from the adjustable cam (2) to the toothing of the cam disc (1). The cam disc (1) can
be adjusted by rotating the adjustment worm (3) at a ratio of 108:1 (1 revolution of the worm = 3.333° on the
cam disc) towards the periphery. The effective cam angle (10) and the usable angle of the cam disc (11) are
shown in the figure. x* and y* depict the views.
1. Loosen the nut (5) until the front toothing (6) for one adjustable cam is disengaged. The adjustment can then
take place without the other cam disc groups also being adjusted.
2. Turn the selected cam discs (1) by hand to the required, approximate switching positions.
3. Tighten the nut (5) to a tightening torque of 2,5 Nm.
4. Using a screw driver, max. width of 4 mm, turn the screw on the adjustment worm (8) until the switching point
has been adjusted as desired. An extremely fine adjustment is possible from both sides, without having to
loosen the nut (5).
5. All adjustments must be looked at in an inspection round and checked for functionality.
6. Mount the cover of the GTES, see section 6.7.

Two cam discs (1) are assigned to each contact. They can be adjusted infinitely and are clamped to a common
block adjustment sleeve (4) using a lock nut (6). The cam discs (1) can be adjusted independently of one
another after loosening the capstan nut (6) using a pin with a diameter of 3,5 mm. The locking plate (2) thereby
prevents the adjustment of a previously adjusted cam disc by adjusting the next disc. According to the position
of the cam, the castor run can be doubled for a contact and the nominal travel shortened accordingly. The
effective cam angle (10) and the usable angle of the cam disc (11) are shown in the figure.
Adjusting individ-
ual cam discs
To adjust the switching points, proceed as follows:
1. Loosen the capstan nut (6).
Turn the selected cam discs (1) to the required switching positions and cam angle.
2. Tighten the capstan nut (5) to a tightening torque of 2,5 Nm.
3. All adjustments must be looked at in an inspection round and checked for functionality.
4. Mount the cover of the GTES, see section 6.7.
