The plunger presses the material to be sewn towards the needle plate opening 
to enable the needle to penetrate the fabric layers in the desired depth.

Class 560-11 only 

Setting the stitch depth 

The adjusting knob for the stitch depth setting is situated on the left hand side 
on the front side of the lower arm (Fig. 1). 

1. 

Turning adjusting knob backwards (anticlockwise) results in the highest 
plunger position and consequently in a deeper needle penetration. 

2. 

When turning the adjusting knob to the front (clockwise) the plunger is 
lowered and the needle penetrates the fabric less deep. 

Per notch the stitch depth is altered by 0.04 mm.
