MAINTENANCE GUIDE for TB-001

A machine is only as good as maintenance that it receives.

The following checks and service points below are typically used by STOUT DESIGNS, LLC
and are highly recommended.

COMPONENT

MAINTENANCE INTERVAL        MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

I/C Engine / Motor

See Engine Manual

See Engine Manufacturer’s Service Manual.

Bearings -

Temperature - 0

F. to 100

F.

Not Required

Bearings are “Sealed for Life” and of Stainless
Steel Construction.  No maintenance required.

Belts – V-type

Every 10 Hours

Inspect every 10 hours of run time.  If a belt

loses drive force from excessive slippage, a

recommendation would be to replace all belts at

that time.

Belt Guards / Shaft Guards

Before Every Use

Check all guarding prior to use.  Visually check

for all fasteners are in place.  Replace any

missing fasteners.

Drive Coupling

Before Every Use

Visually check to make sure coupling is in place

and Gray spider gear cover is fully covering

blue spider gear.  Remove guard and reposition

cover if necessary.

Clutch

Before Every Use

Start unit with throttle in lowest position.  Clutch

should not engage and blades should not turn

until engine is throttled increasing RPM to

above 2000 RPM.  If blades turn when below

2000 RPM, the clutch is not working as

designed and must be repaired

Blades

Before Every Use

Check blades for damage to teeth, check to

make sure locking nut is secure, check to make

sure blades are not touching each other and the

blades are not cracked.  If any of the above

problems are found, repairs or replacements to

the blades and the fasteners will need to be

made before use.
