Before first use, please read these instructions carefully and follow all

instructions, so you enjoy your STONELINE® product for many years.

An improper operation could lead to damages. Do not let anybody handle the

pressure cooker, who never read these instructions.

Please keep this instruction sheet in a safe place for future use.

1. Safety Instructions:

   a. General

   - Never use the pressure cooker when children are nearby.

   - Only use the pressure cooker for the purposes described in the instruction sheet.

o Do not use the pressure cooker in the oven. The handles, valves, and safety mechanisms

could be damaged by the high temperatures.

o Do not deep-fry food in the pressure cooker.

o If you want to brown the meat before cooking, you can use the pressure cooker like any

other saucepan, therefore you should use the glass lid. Add the required amount of liquid

just before closing the pressure cooker lid.

      o Only use in household.

o Do not use for medical purposes, e. g. not as sterilizers.

   b. Before use

   - Before each use, make sure that the valves, gaskets and safety mechanisms work properly.

This is the only way to guarantee a safe use.

      See details for examination under

point 2. Safety mechanisms

.

   - No modifications may be carried out on the pressure cooker (especially on the safety

mechanisms) other than the ones which are described in the instruction sheet. Do not

oil or grease the valves. Repairs may only be carried out by qualified specialists.

   - Do not combine this pressure cooker with components of other competitors.

   - Only use original spare parts. Regularly replace parts showing signs of wear, such as the

silicone gasket (9). Parts that have split or show signs of damage must be replaced immediately.

   - Do not use the pressure cooker if the cooker itself or parts of it are damaged.

EN

The cooker is under pressure when in use. Improper use can result in burns. Make sure that

the cooker is properly closed before using it. Never use the pressure cooker with the lid

placed slack on top of it. See details for closing the lid correctly under

point 3. Pressure cooking

– that’s so simple

.

Only use the stove types that are described in this instruction sheet.

Make sure that the pressure cooker contains liquid before you heat it up. Ensure that the

liquid does not completely evaporate. Otherwise the food may burn and the pressure cooker

or stove may be damaged. In case of extreme overheating, plastic parts or the aluminium

can melt. In this case, turn off the stove immediately and do not move the cooker until it has

cooled down completely. Air the kitchen.

Do not fill the pressure cooker to more than 2/3 of its capacity. When cooking food that

expands as it cooks, such as rice, cereals or dried vegetables, do not fill the pressure cooker to

a maximum of half its capacity.

Never leave your pressure cooker unattended. Regulate the heat when the red safety valve

(4) becomes visible. Otherwise the liquid in the cooker will be reduced very fast. The cooking

times are affected. If all of the liquid should be vaporized, the food may burn and the cooker

may be damaged.

Move the pressure cooker very carefully when it is under pressure. Do not touch the hot sur-

faces of the pressure cooker, but only the handles and buttons. If necessary, use pot holders.

Never try to open the pressure cooker with force when it is under pressure. Do not open it

before you are certain that it has fully depressurized. See details for depressurize the pressure

cooker perfectly under

point 4. Proper steam release and opening, method 1 – 3

.

Always shake the pressure cooker carefully before you open it, to make sure that pockets of

steam will not spit and scald you. This is especially important for quick steam release with the

steam control valve or if you cool down the cooker under cold running water.

Always keep your hands, head and body out of the danger zone when depressurizing the

pressure cooker by using the steam control valve or by cooling the pressure cooker down

under cold running water. The escaping steam could cause burns.

If you want to reclose the pressure cooker after opening, put the steam control valve (3) at

the sign  . Only if the lid is firmly closed put it at the sign   .

Do not cook apples or stewed fruits in the pressure cooker. Pockets of steam can form under

the skin. When opening the cooker they can spit and cause burns.

Please note that if you cook meat with skin, it can swell when under pressure. Do not pierce

the meat as long as the skin is swollen, as this could result in burns.

Prick sausages with artificial casing several times before cooking, so that the skin cannot

burst and cause burns.

Excessively foaming food such as legumes firstly cook with an open lid and skim off the foam.

Afterwards the lid can be closed. Please fill the pressure cooker to a maximum of half its

capacity.

When cooking doughy food, shake the pressure cooker carefully before opening to release

steam pockets that may have formed.
