5. Pull out the radio/climate control
assembly. Disconnect all the
connectors plugged into the back of
the assembly.
6. Using a plastic trim tool, remove
the small plastic panel around the
lock on the trunk release lever by the
driver’s door sill. Gently pry the right
side up as shown.
7. Remove the Phillips screw.
Note: There are also 2 plastic clips
holding this panel in place.
8. Pull upward on the door sill trim
panel to release the plastic clips
and detach it from the body. It is not
necessary to remove it completely,
just enough so the driver’s kick panel
can be removed.
