Adjusting the sharpening angle

Determine the sharpening angle
from the table below

Set sharpening angle (3)
The toothing of the clamping device is
5°.
N
Position the tooth head of the
master cutter (4) approximately
under the middle of the stop
roller (5)
Aligning the filing frame
N
Move the round file (6) downward
between the tooth face and depth
gauge of the master cutter by
swiveling and lifting the filing frame
N
Turn the adjusting screw (7) (anti-
clockwise – file lower, clockwise –
file higher) until approx. 1/4 of the
diameter of the sharpening file
protrudes above the tooth head
