side guards
Raising the side guards
1.
Grasp the top rail of the side guard
with one hand.
2.
Raise the rail by pulling and
pivoting it towards the head end
of the bed until it is fully raised. The
entire side guard is raised in the
process.
3.
The side guard must audibly click
into place and the red release
button

must not protrude!
4.
Check that the side guard is
securely fixed in place by pushing
and pulling the top rail from one
end to the other!
5.
Repeat the procedure for the other side
guards.
Lowering the side guards
1.
Grasp the top rail of the side guard with
one hand at the foot end.
2.
Pull the red release button

out completely
with two fingers of the other hand, and
3.
lower the other rail slowly with a pivoting motion
towards the foot end of the bed - do not let it
drop!
4.
Repeat the procedure for the other side guard.
