Extending the Mattress Base
The brakes of the bed should be applied.
Loosen the two black locking knobs
[5a]
under the
mattress base on the left and the right sides of the
bed at the foot end:
o
Pull the locking knobs down
and give the knobs
a quarter turn
in a clockwise or anti-clockwise
direction.
o
The knob will now lock in place in this “open
position”.
o
Leave the locking knobs in this position for the time
being.
Hold the left and right outer edges of the footboard
with both hands half way up the footboard
[1]
.
Now pull the bed extension out towards you as far as
possible.
Ensure that the bed extension remains in this end position by turning both
locking knobs to the “secure position”.
o
To do so, proceed in the same way as when you loosened the knobs.
o
Finally, jiggle the footboard until the safety pins on the locking knobs
engage properly. A click is heard when the safety pins are engaged.
o
Check that the mattress base is firmly locked in place by pushing the
footboard backwards and forwards.
Inserting the mattress foam insert (accessory)
Place the support base (accessory) from above
into the centre of the space for the extension.
The foam insert restraint (B) on the long side must
face the foot end (F).
The two fixing clips (H) on the metal bars that
extend into the space for the extension must
click into place.
