16. Locate the three 24” lengths of 1/8” diameter dowel included with this kit. These dowels make up the leading
edge of the wing and glue between the top and bottom sheeting of the D-LOC™. When assembling the dowel
to the wing it is most important that your wing be weighted flat along your work surface to avoid warping the
structure. First Mark the center of one 24” dowel. Center this dowel using your mark to the wing center section
and glue to the wing center section at the leading edge. Bend the dowel up on either side of the wing center
section to follow the dihedral in the wing. Complete the leading edge by butting the remaining dowels flush to
the center dowel and extending the leading edge out to the wing tip. Trim away the excess length of dowel
flush with the wing tip. Inspect your glue joints and make certain that the dowel is properly bonded to the top
and bottom sheeting.

17. Now you need to sand the trailing edge of each of the upper W10 cap strips and W4 to “disappear” at the
trailing edge of the wing. Refer to the photos below for guidance. A sanding block is STRONGLY suggested
for this step.
