Below are examples of some of the different test results you may encounter when checking HDMI
Cables with the Steren HDMI Display Tester.
***Please note HDMI cable testing will only function with Non-Active HDMI cables***

Successful test. All 19 lines display as green which is a full passing result.

If the HDMI cable is not correctly hooked up to both test inputs, all 19 lines will be shown as RED.

In some cases an HDMI cable may function and display an image on the TV, but it will be missing
drain wires in the construction of the cables. If your test displays as shown in
(Fig 7)
your cable
is missing drain wires. It’s recommended to use another cable for the installation.
