Proceed as follows to connect the mounting arm to a commercially available non re-
breathing system (e.g. Magill, Mapelson, Bain etc.) proceed as follows:
ƒ
Remove the connection hose for circuit system ( It. 7) from the fresh gas outlet of
the mounting arm (It. 4).
ƒ
Connect the non re-breathing system to the fresh gas outlet of the mounting arm
(It. 4).
Caution
When using a non re-breathing system, an O
2
sensor must be connected to
the adapter (It. 5).
Caution
When using a non re-breathing system, the APL valve of the circuit system
fastened to the mounting device is not active. This is why it is advisable to use
non re-breathing systems with integrated APL valve.
