Step 16: Operate hooklift.

Hooklift operators must conform to the qualifications specified
in the Shuttle Hooklift Safety, Operation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting Manual. Read
and understand all manuals and safety signs before operating or servicing this equip-
ment.
• Bleed the air out of the hydraulic system.
• Check the hydraulic oil level and add oil if needed. When checking hydraulic oil level,
make certain that all system cylinders are fully retracted.
• Calibrate dump light system.
• Be sure to check all clearances.
• Be sure that relief pressure is no higher than 4500 PSI.
Step 15: Fill reservoir and activate hydraulic flow.
• Fill reservoir to site gauge, within 3” from the top (Roughly 10 Gallons). Note: ISO 32 hy-
draulic oil is recommended.
• When connections are secure, activate hydraulic flow by opening the ball valve on the
bottom of the reservoir. This will allow oil to flow from the reservoir to the pump.
